A welcome and information for Monster Awareness Month

Written by Monster Awareness Month team member and founder: Mark S. Deniz

It’s Here! They’re here! We’re here!

Everything is in place and our boy Gojira (above) is waiting for his entrance onto the stage this weekend in our packed agenda of all things monster!

I have been wise enough to let the master of monsters, Robert Hood, write our official introduction to the event, which comes up in just a few hours. First, however, I’d like to share with you some links that you may find interesting.

If you are reading this, then you know about our blog, which is very important, as this is where all the reviews and articles will be posted.

We also have a Facebook group:

Monster Awareness Month – Page

and an event page for the whole thing:

Monster Awareness Month – Event

For those wanting to watch the 28 films and who are struggling getting hold of them, we have a special Dropbox folder for them. Send a mail to monster.awareness.month@gmail.com to be added to the list and follow the link below if you haven’t got a Dropbox account yet:

There is also a forum, which the team are looking forward to getting off and running with chats about the films:

and then we have a Google Doc, which is for those watching the films, who also want to grade them with us. Just add your name and your scores as you watch!

Film ratings

You got everything?

Now, I was asked this week what you had to do to be involved in the whole month and the answer is: nothing really. You do as much or as little as you want. The blog entries are all signed up and all we need are people to watch films and read our reviews and articles – easy eh?

So, that’s it from me for now and over to Robert Hood for a cracking intro (with song lyrics no less)!
